DE BARKOCZY -- Charles de Barkoczy, 94, long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Angelina de Barkoczy, on May 3, 2002; and his brother Edwin Reihart. Charles is survived by his daughter, Anna Snelling and husband Dennis, and daughter, Irene de Barkoczy; granddaughters, Mary Harter and Sarah Harter. Charles proudly served in the United States Army during WWII then as a civilian worked in three states as a Management Analyst with the United States Air Force. During his life Charles was an avid reader, played the piano and composed music. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was recognized in the local paper for his artichoke plants in 1978. Funeral Service will take place Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Chester T. French Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE in the with burial following at Sunset Memorial Park.
