CHAVEZ -- Jose "Joe" Ricarte Chavez passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Albuquerque at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Chavez; sons, Jose E. Chavez and Andres Chavez; daughter, Jacqueline Chavez; sisters, Rosie Chavez, Debbie Chavez and Lulu Arias; cousin, Charlie Balboa; grandchildren, Estrella Chavez, Jarek Chavez-Walker and Estella Chavez-Walker; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A visitation will take place in the chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. in Albuquerque, on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW on Friday, April 24, 2009. A Viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
