HESSIAN -- Marion E. Hessian, 94, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Marion was born November 13, 1915 the daughter of Alfred and Lydia Pritchard Schoales in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked for the State of New York for eighteen and a half years as a senior attendant with the Letohworth Village, she retired May 1, 1971. Married to Thomas Hessian, on May 18, 1939. He preceded her in death, May 15, 1984. Marion was an avid sewer, knitter, and loved to walk. She was a member of the Meadowlark Senior Center, and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for over 24 years. She is survived by many wonderful friends and family. The Visitation for Marion will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. Entombment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
