SALAZAR -- Selma Kaye Salazar, born to Frances and Eduardo Salazar in Napa Valley, CA, completed her journey on earth and was embraced in the loving arms of Jesus, Monday, April 6, 2009. Selma was a woman of quiet strength and amazing courage who enjoyed life to the fullest in the company of her closest family and best friends. She had a unique unforgettable style; she was always fun to be around, was genuinely sincere and maintained her unique sense of humor to the end. Selma was a dedicated long time employee of Bernalillo County, who treasured her job and her co-workers. She came to know the generosity and outpouring of love and support offered to her by those with whom she worked. Selma is survived by three brothers, Ed Salazar and his wife Cynthia, Bill and John Salazar; and her beloved Chica and Nacho. She is also survived by a special "Uncle Bob" who Selma often described as the closest thing she had to a father. Selma you will remain in our hearts forever until we meet again. A Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Claremont and Phoenix. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church.
