BOWRA -- Christine H. Bowra, age 100, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009. Mrs. Bowra was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Bowra; son, Claude R. Strait; son-in-law, Norman I. Ostroff; parents, Elijah Claude Herron and Jesse Mildred Herron and five siblings. She is survived by her children, Patricia B. Schooler and husband, Craig of Los Lunas; Charlotte A. Ostroff of Casa Robles, CA and Carolyn J. Brasch and husband, Tom of Spokane, WA. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, one niece, two nephews and a cousin, Lucille Woods of Albuquerque. Mrs. Bowra will be laid to rest with her husband at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Transportation Fund of the Ballut Abyad Shrine Center in Albuquerque.
