ROYBAL -- Jake Roybal, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Roybal is survived by his daughters, Emily Preston and husband, Paul, Gloria Lucero and husband Joe, and Kathryn Trujillo; his sons, Ron Roybal and wife, Linda, Gary Roybal and Russell Roybal; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Roybal was a veteran of the US Navy, serving his country during World War II. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be truly missed by all. A special thanks to the staff at Ambercare and St. John Health Care Center. Services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 9500 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Suite 209, 87111.
