HINDE -- John (Jack) Edward Clarkson Hinde, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009. He was born and raised in Illinois, where he earned a masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois. Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Louise, who moved with him to New Mexico in 1953. Jack worked for Sandia National Laboratories for 32 years, and after retiring, continued working for the DOE. He was very active with the Boy Scouts over the years, being an Eagle Scout himself. Jack will be remembered as an avid fisherman, who loved the outdoors, particularly the beautiful Rainy Lake district in Canada. He leaves behind a brother, David and wife, Ellen Hinde of Illinois; children, Tom and wife, Judy Hinde of Las Cruces, Jim and wife, Lea Ann Hinde of Albuquerque, Matt and wife, Pili Hinde of Las Cruces, Susan and husband, Don Rinehart of Albuquerque, Paul and wife, Kaylene Weeks of Albuquerque and grandchildren, Heather and husband, Jay Adkins, Matthew Hinde, Paul Hinde, JJ Hinde, Paul and wife, Debora Husler, and David Heusler, Scott Rinehart and Brian Rinehart. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009, 10:00 am at Church of the Good Shepherd, 7833 Tennyson NE., Albuquerque, NM 87122. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Church of the Good Shepherd or the Storehouse, 106 Broadway SE, Albuquerque 87102.
