ANDERSON -- Harold L. Anderson, 87, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008. He was born in Fullerton, KY and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was known to his friends as Andy. Harold served during WWII as a Navy pilot. He graduated from Iowa University with his engineering degree and worked for GE until 1958. In 1959 the family located in Albuquerque and he worked for Sandia National Labs and retired after 32 years service as an Electrical Engineer. He was a past president of the Albuquerque Lions Club and was a long time member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Andy was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorigen and his sister Pauline Thieken. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Stewart and husband Mike; grandsons Christopher Stewart and wife Stephanie and Matthew Stewart; great-granddaughter Kaylee; and his caregivers Betty Montoya, Sandra Anaya and Peggy Kettle and their families. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Services will be Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE with military honors. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to Presbyterian Health Care Foundation, Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, P.O. Box 26666, 87125.
