Betsy Anne Bachechi, a resident of the area for many years, passed away at her home in Edgewood, NM late Friday morning, October 24, 2008 following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 16, 1962 to Harry William Frankel and Eleanor Ruth Tritinger Frankel in Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. Bachechi was married to her husband Arthur in April of 1983. Mrs. Bachechi had been a certified insurance counselor for decades who was recognized by her peers. She was a member of United Baptist Church of Edgewood, NM She is lovingly remembered by her family as having a zest for life. Betsy valued friends and family above all. She was a loving Wife and Mother who treasured family life and nurturing her children. Betsy will be missed by her family and friends she leaves behind. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Arthur J. Bachechi of the family home in Edgewood; three daughters; Amber Eichstedt and her husband Ole of Albuquerque, Alysha Bachechi of Edgewood, NM Ariana Bachechi of Edgewood, NM; one brother, Greg Frankel and his wife Sheila of Denver, CO; three sisters, Sue Burns and her husband Michael of Rio Rancho, NM, Marie Kelsey of Albuquerque, NM, Barbie Marshall and her husband Mike of Hobbs, NM. Numerous nephews and nieces survive as well. In addition, three foreign exchange students whom she cared for like her own children, Laurence Billett of Montreal Canada, Tauin Couto MD of Belem, Brazil, and Kito Leong of Hong Kong, China. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry William Frankel and Eleanor Ruth Tritinger. Cremation will take place, a Memorial Funeral Service will be held at Aspen Funeral Alternatives at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 with Reverend Paul Gleason officiating. Private Interment of Cremated remains will be held at a later date. Family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
