SMITH -- Horace H. "Buzz" Smith, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, NM and formerly of Belen, NM, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. He retired from the US Air Force, in 1967 after 26 years of outstanding service. Buzz then went to work for US Fidelity and Guarantee Company. He was a member of the Tierra Del Sol Country Club for 25 years, Tierra Del Sol Mens' Golf Association, Retired Officers Association and the Belen Art League. Buzz was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening, but fly-fishing was his passion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Michelsen; his wife, Rose Copeland; his mother, Bernice Smith; three brothers, Henry, Howard and Hillary Smith and daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Smith. Buzz is survived by his children, Janis Prudhomme, Anne Bahm, Dennis Smith and Terence Smith and their spouses, Raymond Prudhomme, Ronald Bahm and Susan Smith; seven grandchildren, David Bahm, Nicole Lucak, Natalie Moore, Angie Gonzales, Michael Prudhomme, Kristian Prudhomme, Gregory Smith; five great-grandchildren, Chelsey Moore, Monique Gonzales, Miranda Gonzales, Julian Gonzales and Gabriel Lucak. He is also survived by his dear and devoted friend, Bobbi Romero. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. with the Pastor of Oasis Family Church presiding. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
