FULLER -- Andrew L. (Drew) --After a seven year courageous battle with cancer, Drew passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 9, 2008. Drew was born on March 18, 1949 in Hobbs, NM. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy and daughter Sarah, who were the sunshines of his life; mother Annie Fuller of McKinney, TX; Brother and sister-in-law Steve and Karen Fuller of Albuquerque; sister and brother-in-law Ginger and Tom McLamore of McKinney, TX; brother-in-law Robert Jones of Los Alamos, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Spike and Donna Jones of Los Alamos; nieces Angela, Jeni and Jesi; nephews Eric, Kyle, Kory and Cale. Drew was preceded in death by his dad, Andra and brothers John and Mark. Drew was raised in Jal, NM and McClean, TX and graduated from Jal High School. He moved to Albuquerque to attend college and play football at UNM. He had a passion to learn and received Bachelor and Master Degrees in Teaching Industrial Subjects from UNM; Master Degree in Industrial Safety from Texas A&M and Master degree in Occupational Safety Management from Central Missouri State University. Drew was proud to play the position of strong safety for the UNM football team and he was a faithful fan - GO LOBOS! Drew was a Professional Safety Engineer and Certified Safety Professional. He was a Senior Safety Engineer at the Department of Energy where he had been employed for the past 31 years. Prior to working at DOE he was a Descriptive Geometry Instructor and Design Graphics Graduate Instructor at Texas A&M. Drew was a Porsche enthusiast and loved maintaining and driving Porsche 911 relics, of which a pumped-up 1970 coupe (Blue Max) was his favorite and gave him a thrill for speed. The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice and all of our caring friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE on Monday, October 13, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 5639 Jefferson NE, Albuquerque 87119 or to the UNM Cancer Center, 900 Camino de Salud, NE MSC 084630.
