SANCHEZ -- Eleanor E. Sanchez, Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt is now rejoicing with the Lord. Mrs. Sanchez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 21, 2008 at the age of 85. She was born March 4, 1923 to Jacobo and Lucille Baca, belonging to one of the oldest families in Old Town. She will be remembered for being brave, courageous and full of faith. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and supported numerous Catholic charities. She was an avid gardener who took pride in her precious flowers and especially her roses. She is preceded in death by her husband, Myron Sanchez. Mrs. Sanchez is survived by her sons, Ronald G. Sanchez and wife, Mary Ann of Rio Rancho and Carlos A. Sanchez and wife, Yvonne of Albuquerque; daughters, Carol A. Kriese and husband, Ray, and Anna K. Sanchez, all of Albuquerque; granchildren, Robert and Russell Sanchez, and Venessa Griego; great-granddaughter, Adrianna Monea Griego; brothers, Rudy Baca, Bernard Baca and wife, Theresa, Mario Baca and wife, Barbara, and Robert Baca; sister, Natalie Kent; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A Rosary for Mrs. Sanchez will be recited on Tuesday evening, August 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
