ASHTON-BROWN -- Patricia L. Ashton-Brown, 62 a resident of Cliff, NM entered eternal rest on Monday, August 18, 2008 at her residence. She was born to Newton C. and Betty (White) Ashton on October 1, 1945 at Santa Fe, NM. She is now singing to the angels in Heaven! Patty was a third generation Santa Fe, New Mexican and she loved her home state. She graduated from Santa Fe High School and earned her Bachelors Degree in Theater and Speech from Hastings College in Nebraska. After teaching in high schools in Tennessee and Michigan and working at various jobs she returned to New Mexico and started her own business, Cyrano's, helping others. She was very active in the theater and had roles in many plays. She and husband Dick loved to travel, especially in their RV throughout the North American continent. They also enjoyed traveling to other parts of the world. Now she is on the greatest trip of all. We will miss her and her beautiful smile and singing voice. She is survived by her caring husband of 19 years, Richard L. Ashton-Brown of the family home; two sons, Aaron Brown of Albuquerque and Kylene Brown also of Albuquerque; one daughter, Jenifer Nightingale-Ethier from Abbotsford, British Columbia; five grandchildren, Solomon, Forrest, Mackayla, Erica and Joel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Newton and Betty Ashton. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 26th at 1pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cliff with Pastor David Goble officiating. Interment will take place at Mesa Cemetery in Gila following the service. Pallbearers will be Bill Sauter, Hugh Bishop, Bill Hoffman, David Ogilvie, Pat Feeley and Pete Wilmeth. BEYER -- William Aaron Beyer. November 9, 1924 - August 16, 2008. William Aaron Beyer passed away in Los Alamos, NM on August 16, 2008 with his wife of nearly 53 years and son by his side. He was born in Altoona, PA on November 9, 1924, the son of Francis David Beyer and Frances Murdock Beyer. Bill grew up in Tyrone, PA and entered the Army Air Corp. during WWII and subsequently graduated from OCS at Fort Benning, GA as a 2nd Lieutenant. He received a bachelor's and a master's degree in physics from Pennsylvania State College and University of Illinois respectively, and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University. Before coming to Los Alamos, he worked for General Electric Jet Engine Division in Cincinnati, OH. He was in the Theoretical Division of the Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1959 until 1990. Bill continued to work for the Laboratory after his retirement for many more years. The Rover Project, Mathematical Biology (evolution, population dynamics), Strategic Defense Initiative (discrimination), mathematical support for a nuclear weapons test, scientific intelligence support, UNM graduate class instruction, non-Euclidean geometry, random number generators, complexity, early fractal mathematics, and energy economics were just some of the wide ranging fields in which Bill made contributions. Being politically and socially conscious, Bill worked on a fair housing ordinance for Los Alamos, helped plan and construct Los Alamos's first group home for the mentally challenged, was active in the Democratic Party, was a strong advocate of the elimination of nuclear weapons, and, decades before they became popular, was an outspoken supporter for world-wide human rights, minority rights in the United States, and keeping the environment clean. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Elizabeth. Survivors include his wife, Ann of Los Alamos; his son, Tom, also of Los Alamos; Bill's sister, Margaret Beyer of Naples, FL; his brother, Dr. F.D. "Barney" Beyer and wife, Patricia of Greensburg, PA; his son-in-law, Lee Bartlett of Las Cruces, NM; his nephews, Dr. David Beyer, wife Nancy, and daughter Madeleine of Ligonier, PA, Robert Beyer, wife Janet, and children, Christopher and Kathryn of Naperville, IL, and William Bershinger of Green Bay, WI; and his granddaughters, Jennifer Barlett, husband James Stewart and son, Jeffrey of Brooklyn, NY, and Marisa Kelly, husband Danny, and son Alexander, of Vacaville, CA. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Unitarian Church, 1738 N. Sage in Los Alamos. BUSHMAN -- ELSIE, 93 of Albuquerque, NM passed away on August 22, 2008. She was born in Arizona to Elizabeth and Henry Schwantes. Elsie graduated from Douglas, Arizona High School in 1934 and the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in El Paso, TX in 1938. She worked as an RN and head nurse in the Douglas Hospital (Phelps Dodge) until she married on June 23, 1942, to Garland F. Busman a widower with three children; Anna, Charles and Clarence. They were married in the LDS temple of Mesa, AZ. Soon after the wedding the family moved to Albuquerque where Garland worked as a salesman for the H.J. Heinz Co. and latter the Texas Refinery Co. In Albuquerque two sons were born to Elsie and Garland; Robert and James. In 1973 Garland retired and the couple moved back to Arizona. They enjoyed retirement living with a summer cabin in Arizonas White Mountains and a winter home in Mesa, Arizona. After Garland's death in 1984 Elsie continued to live in Mesa, AZ. She moved to Lincoln Court an assisted living facility in Idaho Falls, ID in 2002. In 2005 she returned to New Mexico and lived at assisted living facilities in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. Elsie, a descendant of Mormon pioneers, was a active member of the LDS church all of her life. Besides being a homemaker, she was active in the American Red Cross, teaching home nursing and first aid. She was also active in the PTA and served as president of Monte Vista School PTA. She worked in conjunction with the Bernalillo County Department of Health when in 1954 the pioneer Salk polio vaccinations were administered to all willing third graders. She traveled extensively throughout the world with her husband when he was employed by TRC. She is survived by five sisters; two sons, Robert W. Bushman and wife Pat of Eugene, OR, James P. Bushman and wife Maxine of Albuquerque; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren other family and friends who loved and will miss her. A memorial Service will be held at the LDS Church 4109 Eubank Blvd. NE in Albuquerque on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 3 p.m. a graveside service will be held later prior to burial in Snowflake AZ. EAVES -- Rex Eaves, 93, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 21, 2008. Mr. Eaves is survived by his wife of 66 years, Verjean; sons, Lynn Eaves and wife, Susette, Rod Eaves and wife, Dinah; granddaughter, Louisa. He is also survived by his sister, Adele Melton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sarah; and eight siblings. Rex served his country in the US Army Air Corp during WW II. He retired from Sandia Labs after 25 years. FULMER-BAYE -- Doris P. Fulmer-Baye, 83, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008. A resident of Albuquerque for several years, she was born in Miller, South Dakota on June 15, 1925. She is survived by her loving husband, CW4 Alfred Baye, USA (Ret); one son, Lonnie Styron of Aberdeen, South Dakota; a daughter, Sheryl Langford of Gulfport, Mississippi; and three grandchildren; Stacy McCormick, Leighton Langford, and Michael Langford. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles M. Pearson, and her mother, Fern K. Deuter and previous husband, A.E. Fulmer, LCDR, USN (Ret). She graduated from Miller High School in 1943 and then went on to graduate from college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was employed in Florida, in middle management and supervisory positions, retiring after 25 years employment with Monsanto, Inc. Doris was a world traveler, having lived in many different countries around the world and recently enjoyed travel throughout Turkey with her husband Alfred. She was a refined and gracious lady, an immediate friend to all she met. She was active in the Military Officers Association of America, at one time appointed to the local chapter Board of Directors. From this association, she became active in legislative matters effecting military retirees and their survivors. She was a key player in getting corrective legislation passed to help the widows of military retirees. A member of Mensa, her intelligence was evident in her interesting stories and conversations. Doris was an ardent gardener and a nature lover, readily identifying plants and flowers and speaking in awe of their beauty. She created a special project to provide potted flowers outside the Chapel on Kirtland Air Force Base and was a member of the Kirtland Catholic Community at Kirtland Air Force Base. Doris and Alfred were married just over one year, having a loving and comforting companionship in the later years of their lives. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 26th at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel on Kirtland Air Force Base. The family requests that no flowers be provided for the service. Burial will be held in the Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis, South Dakota, in September. GONZALES -- Pauline C. Gonzales, born on November 8, 1920, and was only 87 years young, was called home to be with Our Lord on August 17, 2008. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her son, Miguel Ricardo (Calito) and wife, Mary Lou; her daughters, Juanita (Negra) Padilla and husband, Paul, Annette Gonzales and husband, Dale Butler; her brother, Miguel (Calo) Saavedra, and wife Criselda; her sisters, Trisa Saavedra, Dixie Ortiz and Della Wood; her grandchildren, Natalie Williamson and husband, Brian, Specialist Miguel R. Gonzales Jr. U.S. Army, Victoria Padilla-Jonas and husband, Scott, Jason Padilla, Crystal Gates and husband, Gunny Sergeant Andrew, U.S.M.C., and Christina Higgins; her great-grandchildren, Jason Pavelko, Matthew Williamson, Autumn, Jonathan and Dallas Gates, Gabrielle and Katelynn Higgins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Gonzales was a life long member of the Catholic Church, primarily attending St. Anne Catholic and Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Miguel and Criselda Saavedra. Final visitation will be Thursday morning at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., a Franciscan Friar, presider. HANDY -- Lillian Heineken Handy, died July 6, 2008 after a short illness. She was born January 17, 1917 in Texas, to John and Millie Garner. She was the seventh of seven children. Lillian married Deward Henderson, and they moved to McNary, AZ. Three daughters were born while they were there. They moved to Albuquerque in 1948. She lived there until June of 2008. She moved to Farmington, to be with her daughter, until she died. She was preceded in death by her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters. Her husbands, Deward Henderson and Melvin Heineken. Her grandsons, James Hill and David Hill. She is survived by her husband, Robert Handy; her children, Patricia Hudson and husband Harvey, Gail Kaehr and husband Mickey, Linda Lewis and Neil. Step-children, Bob and wife Margaret, Judy Hanna and husband Fred, Lane Wright, all of Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was a woman of many talents. She could sew, she did oil painting, had pretty flowers and raised a garden. She taught painting at the senior center, when she lived in Edgewood. She will be greatly missed. The Memorial Service for Lillian will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. HILL -- Nona M. Hill, 76, a longtime resident of New Mexico passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008. She was born on November 2, 1931 in Enid, Oklahoma. She is survived by her ex-husband Alan B. Hill of Cabot, AR and children: Neoma Baker and husband Dale Baker of Albuquerque, NM, Alan B Hill II and wife Jo of Charleston, SC, James R. Hill and wife Sandy of Bluewater, NM, Johnny R. HOLLERAN -- Patricia Anne Holleran, born on March 17, 1932, went to heaven August 22, 2008. She was raised in the small town of Brawley, California, where she met and married her husband George Uszuko in 1951 and started her family. In 1961, we all moved to Albuquerque where most of the family still lives today. Traveling, camping, and exploring the west were her lifelong passions. Adventures with her family were the most important things throughout her life. She will always be in the prayers and memories of her 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. HOWSER -- Edith Marie Howser died peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Anna Kaseman Hospice Unit in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Hancock, MI on November 26, 1909, the oldest child of Agnes and Arvid Lindstrom, who emigrated to the U.S. from Sweden. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Clarence, Herbert and Robert. Edith is survived by her daughter, Patricia; son-in-law, Jack; grandchildren, Joanne Leonard and Steven Ray; and great-grandchildren, David Ray and Francesca Ray. Edith led a challenging, interesting and joyous life, living and working in Michigan, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, New Mexico and Virginia. She retired from the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C. before moving back to Albuquerque to be near her family. She was very loved, and will always be remembered as a person of beauty and integrity. Her exceptional attitude and emotional strength were inspirational to everyone who knew her. Although Edith outlived her husbands, Clifton Cole, Joseph Bobby, Robert Howser and many dear friends, she appreciated the close connections she kept with her sister-in-law, Grace Lindstrom of Montreal, Canada; nieces, Jeannie Ann Slack of Kanata, Ontario, and Kathy Lindstrom-Milne of St. Lazare, Quebec; as well as her cousin, Ethyl Myers of Port Charlotte, Florida. The family wants to thank Jennie and David Casados, who provided many years of kind help and concern for Edith, as well as Sue Cheshire and the staff at Hilldale Residential Care Home, 14528 Hilldale Rd. NE, Albuquerque, whose exceptional love and care was the best anyone in their life's later years could hope for. JOHNSON -- James "Jim" W. Johnson of Bernalillo, NM died Monday, August 18, 2008 after an extended illness. Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly and their three children, Brenda and Wayne Johnston of Albuquerque, Ben and Kathy Johnson of Rio Rancho, and Bonnie and Reggie Simmons of Mansfield, Texas as well as his grandchildren, Jay, Cortney and Aaron Simmons, Megan and Meredith Johnson and Marni and Dakota Mullikin and his great- granddaughter, Lillian Simmons. Jim is also survived by his sisters, Susan DelMargo of Bernalillo, and Carol Ann Hale of Byers, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Fairview, NM on May 2, 1936 to Clarence and Lola Johnson. He grew up in Taos where he graduated from Taos High School prior to joining the US Army paratroopers. Jim was an addiction therapist and worked with the VA Hospital in Albuquerque for 13 years. He also worked as an addiction therapist in his own practice, Apple Axe, before going to work for the VA. LUJAN -- Peter Lujan of Albuquerque,New Mexico died at his residence on August 21st. Mr. Lujan was born in Pastura, New Mexico on September 20, 1923. He graduated high school in Tucumcari, New Mexico, where he was president of his class. He attended Lourdes Seminary before enlisting in the United States Army in June of 1943. He served with distinction with the Parachute Airborne Command and fought in the Pacific Theater earning a Silver Star for Valor in the liberation of Luzon, Philippines. He married Eva Sierra in June 1946. Following discharge from the service Mr. Lujan worked for the Bureau of Reclamation before attending and graduating from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Arts in Mechanical Engineering in 1956. He was a founding member of the engineering firm, Bridgers and Paxton where he worked for over 43 years and retired as an Executive Vice President. He was responsible for the development and completion of many major engineering projects in the city of Albuquerque, and other major cities in the southwest. An avid golfer, Mr. Lujan was known and revered by many in the community and was active in multiple civic affairs. He was a member of the Albuquerque Rotary Club. Mr. Lujan is survived by his wife, and two sisters, Bertha Bisbee of Valley Center, California and Mary Lujan of Fresno, California and a brother Lawrence Lujan of Emonak, Alaska. His children include sons Steven of Maui, Hawaii, Peter, Michael and David and daughter Patricia Reed of Albuquerque. He was blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A Rosary and Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on August 26th at Our Lady of the Fatima Church at 4020 Lomas Boulevard Northeast in Albuquerque. Mr. Lujan will be interned August 26th, at 1:00 PM at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

MARTINEZ -- Chris Martinez was born January 28, 1930 in Jemez Valley to Isabel and Damasio Martinez. He graduated from El Rito High School at 15 and joined the Marines. Upon discharge he returned to Albuquerque where he married his loving wife of 58 years, Isabel. He was a dedicated firefighter in Albuquerque and retired as Captain after serving for 30 years. Chris was a very hardworking responsible father and was always there to care for his family, ready to help whenever possible. He also taught us all to carry on his wonderful sense of mischief and humor. He was preceded in death by his wife Isabel and sons Chris and Richard Martinez. He is survived by daughter Kathleen and husband Leroy Griego; grandchildren Maria Victoria and husband Chris Hawkins, Christina Griego, Benito Rey Griego and wife Cynthia, Maximilliano Rey Martinez; great grandchildren Jocette Aragon, Ethan, Anna Sofia, and Julia Hawkins, David Martinez and Iliana Griego; and mother in law Julia Murphy. MUELLER -- Renee Westmoreland-Mueller, age 51, of Albuquerque and formerly of Las Cruces, passed away peacefully in her sleep, while surrounded by her loving family Friday, August 22, 2008. Renee was born November 23, 1956, in Las Cruces, to Forrest and Joyce Westmoreland, along with her twin brother, Brent. She grew up in Las Cruces, graduating from Mayfield High School in 1974 and earned a Bachelors degree in journalism with honors in 1992 from New Mexico State University. She fell in love with, and married Frank Mueller on December 7, 1990. On January 12, 1994, they were blessed with a daughter, Ava Nicole. Renee worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft, both in New Mexico and in Long Beach, CA. She earned her General Contracting license and worked many years for Clay-West Development Corp. Renee enjoyed being reared in the Mesilla Valley. She was known for her sense of humor, always having a smile on her face. Renee was an incredible wife and mother. Her kind heart endeared her to all who knew her. She was a third generation New Mexican. Renee is survived by her loving husband, Frank Mueller; awesome daughter, Ava Mueller; great parents, Joyce and Forrest Westmoreland; loving twin brother, Brent Westmoreland; nieces, Kerry and Whitney Westmoreland; grand nephew, William Westmoreland. NAFUS -- Raymond P. Nafus, born June 19, 1916 in Oakridge, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2008 at his home in Albuquerque. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Evadene; two children, Bobby Nafus and wife Judy and Penny Nafus and husband Chip Wilson. He is also survived by 3 grandsons and their spouses: Rob and Shari Nafus, Brandon and Stephanie Nafus, Leon and Dianne Nafus and granddaughter, Carrie Nafus. Additionally, he is survived by 2 brothers, Carl Nafus, Glenn Nafus and wife, Mary, and 12 great grandchildren: Kurtis, Brianna, Tyler, Shelby, Craig, Vanessa, Josh, Shylah, Dylan, Emilee, Isiah and Angelina. Raymond served in the Army during World War II on the front lines of North Africa and Italy, where he was decorated with a Silver Star and three Bronze Medals. He retired from Galles Motors in 1979 after 29 years of service. After retiring, he put his many talents to work restoring sports cars and VW's to their original condition. PATRICK -- Barry Dave Patrick December 13, 1959 - August 10, 2008 Barry Dave Patrick, born in Floydada, TX and raised in Quitaque, TX, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 in Queen Creek, AZ. During his life, he lived in Albuquerque, NM working on the new Intel Fab in Rio Rancho, then moved throughout the United States and overseas to Malaysia and Ireland. Barry left behind many friends and family from our local Albuquerque area, especially Kristina Pulliam, Norma, Johnny and Carrie Gibbs and son, Jon Dillon Patrick. Barry's other children, which he also was so proud of are Russell and Chance Patrick of Amarillo, TX and Nashee and Danielle Patrick of Lubbock, TX. PERKINS -- Betty Burton Perkins was born September 14, 1920 in Kansas City, MO to Raymond and Gertrude Burton. She passed from this life peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2008. The family moved to Albuquerque when she was about six years old because her father had tuberculosis. He was "chasing the cure", as many TB patients were at that time. Betty attended Albuquerque High School and UNM. Betty was on the faculty at AHS prior to starting a family with her husband, Cy Perkins. Betty was an officer with First National Bank for 15 years, before retiring in 1979. Betty was always active in community affairs, including the National Association of Bank Women, Hogares Inc., Chaparral Home and Adoption Services and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Betty was predeceased by her parents, and by her husband of 65 years, Cy Perkins. Betty is survived by her brother, Raymond Burton of Congress, AZ; her two sons, Cy Perkins Jr. and Tom B. Perkins; grandchildren, Tommy Perkins Jr. and his wife Gayle, Lilian Perkins and her fiance, Joe Jewel; and niece, Marjorie Moody. Betty is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Brighton and Jack Perkins. Betty wishes to thank all of her caregivers over the last few months for the care and love shown to her. PLEMONS -- Joe Wallace (Wally) Plemons of Bernalillo, NM, 63, suddenly left us on August 2, 2008. Born in Durango, CO June 8, 1945, he was raised in NM; served in the Navy; managed a Radio Shack Store in Rio Rancho. After retiring from the Sandoval County Treasurer's office, he crafted exquisite chimes. By his side, Norma, wife and soul-mate, crafted beautiful wood-products. Together, they sold their hand-made items at craft fairs. Wally was a people-person and loved to explain how he made and tuned his chimes. His last weeks were spent doing what he loved the most: craft fair at Eagle Nest, with Norma, and fishing at Coyote Creek. He is survived by his wife and soul-mate, Norma Gay Plemons; sons, Jerry Leon Plemons of Belen, NM, Patrick Plemons; Richard Lawrence, and Bryan Lawrence; his mother and step-father, Margaret and Armond Austin; and two sisters, Sally Bueno, and Marilyn Treadwell; and 12 wonderful grandchildren. POORE -- Ida Elvina Therkelsen Poore, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1990, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2008. She was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on October 10, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Poore and her sister, Katherine Williams of Denver, Colorado. Robert was a lawyer with the Jones, Day Law Firm in Cleveland, Ohio, where they were both long time residents of Gates Mill, Ohio. She is survived by her son, Gregory Robert Poore and his wife, Jean; their three sons, Richard, Michael, and Matthew Poore; and daughter, Julie Ann Thompson and their families which include, eight great grandchildren, all in Cleveland, Ohio. Her daughter, Barbara Throckmorton and her husband, Rex, live in Albuquerque along with her grandson Scott Throckmorton, wife Susan and great granddaughters, twins Paige and Amanda. Another grandson, John Throckmorton lives in Loveland, Ohio along with his wife, Robin and her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Emily. Her niece, Patricia Hardison, lives in Littleton, Colorado. Ida has had a 40-year interest in raising, training and showing her beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs. She was an avid reader and was keenly interested in politics. REAMS -- Neilan Arthur Reams, 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 10 in his Albuquerque home. Born November 9, 1925 in Sioux City, IA, Neil was preceded in death by his wife, Glenys Isaacs Reams. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Cavender and her husband, Nick, of Spokane, WA; and Susan Clees and her husband, John, of Olympia, WA. He is also survived by three stepchildren, Debra Halberg and her husband, Brad, of Wasilla, AK; Andrew Smith and his wife, June, of Albuquerque, and David Smith of Albuquerque. He was "Papa Neil" to eleven grandchildren: Angelynn, Calli, Tina, Ryan, Ashley, Courtney, Cassandra, Alexandria, David Jr., Logan and London; and to six great grandchildren: Jared, Riley, Jaden, Cody, Josh and Chloe. Neil grew up in Washington state and served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 as a Machinist's Mate Third Class. He then made his career as an accountant for Hoffman Construction. Neil and Glenys moved to Albuquerque in 1994 to be closer to family. They managed a local storage facility until their retirement in 2005. SCHULER -- John W. Schuler fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the age of 65. He was born in Des Plaines, IL and moved to Las Vegas, NM at an early age. After high school John served his country from 1960-1966 in the US Navy on the USS Providence. He graduated from Highlands University with a degree in electronics. John moved to Albuquerque and then to Corrales, NM where he volunteered in the fire department and served as Fire Chief. He enjoyed hunting, reading, cooking, model trains, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a proud member of the NRA and the Knights of Columbus. His love of family and friends was only exceeded by his love of God. He was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church. SIDDELL -- Michael Ray Siddell, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1970, was called to his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 22, 2008 with his family by his side. Michael was born on January 13, 1965 to Roger and Wilma J. (Hollowell) Siddell of Rantoul, IL. He was baptized in 1978 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Albuquerque. Michael graduated from Manzano High School in 1983 and had participated in the school's baseball team. He then attended TVI (now CNM) and studied diagnostic sonography. He loved antique cars and was currently restoring a 1957 Chevy Truck. His favorite NFL team was the Chicago Bears and he also liked to watch boxing. Michael cheered for his son, Fabian, and his soccer accomplishments. He was employed by Core-Mark as a warehouse manager. Michael is survived by his son, Fabian Ray Siddell;grandson, Jody Siddell; his fiance, Serina Chiquito; his mother, Wilma J. Siddell; brothers, Myron J. Siddell, Carlos Lee Siddell, and Gregory Allen Siddell; and numerous nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Siddell, and his grandparents. A Viewing and Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave SE. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, at 1:00 P.M., also at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services. The Reverend Alonzo Twitty will preside over the funeral services. STEFAN -- Thomas J. Stefan, 76, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008. A resident of Albuquerque since 1968. Tom was born in Cleveland, OH on August 26, 1932, met his sweetheart Helen at Our Lady of Lourdes High School, and they were married on April 24, 1954. Tom joined the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain as a navigator / bombardier. After getting his degree from the University of Albuquerque, Tom became the business manager at St Pius X High School in 1976 where he worked for 18 years. Always devout Catholics, Tom and Helen were very involved in the church with roles including stewardship speakers (over 35 yrs), Eucharistic minister, Serra member (promotion of vocations), and a member of the Queen of Heaven finance committee. Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife Helen, his two sisters Marlene and Sharon Rose, and twelve children (Mary Ellen, Loretta, Debora, Thomas, Joanne, Brian, Michael, Gregory, George, Richard, James, and Joseph) and 14 grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Wednesday morning, August 27, 2008 at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am also at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at 1:00 pm, August 27, 2008 at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. VOGEL -- Richard Francis. The family of Richard Francis "Dick" Vogel announces that he went to be with his Savior on August 21, 2008. Visitation will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. until Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at La Grone Funeral Chapel. The Vigil Service will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2008. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008 at St. Peter Church. The nation celebrated Dick's birth with fireworks on July 4, 1919 in Lafayette, Indiana. He was the last survivor of the nine children of Jacob and Mary Vogel. From his family farm in Indiana Dick went on to business college. During World War II he volunteered to defend the country that celebrated his birth. As the pilot of B-17s and B-24s he flew 29 successful missions. His military awards include the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal. Training as a pilot at Roswell Army Air Field he met and fell in love with the girl of his dreams, Marilyn Janice Blea. Upon his return from overseas they were married on September 20, 1944 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Roswell. Dick and Marilyn settled in Roswell and started their family. As a well respected electrical contractor, first with Blea Electric and then Arco Electric, he earned a reputation as an ethical, trustworthy member of the community. This was due to his strong work ethic and high moral standards which he passed on to all his family. In his 61 years in Roswell Dick lived in accordance to his values, the 10 commandments and the 4 way rotary test. He was an active member of St. Peter Parish where he generously gave of his time, energy and resources. Dick served as Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. As a Rotarian he was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. His love of music and humor led him to be a founding member of The Roswell Liver Spots. A gifted athlete and avid outdoorsman, Dick spent many hours playing as hard as he worked. Fishing and fish stories were his greatest passion. He instilled in all his family a great respect, regard and love for all Creation. Dick loved God, loved life and loved his family. He was the kind of man that every boy wishes he could grow up to be and that every man on his death bed wishes he had been. Yes Dad, with your help we can get home from here. Dick is survived by Marilyn his loving wife of 64 years, his twelve children: Jan McKee and husband Jerry, Vicky (Frances) Montano and husband David, Babs Morris and husband Peter, Cathy Gregory and husband Pat, Julie Adams and husband Mike, Tish Resnik and husband Bill, Betsy Buckel and husband Jim, John Vogel and wife Sylvia, Bob Vogel, Tom Vogel, Jim Vogel and wife Christen, and Valerie Vogel. WIBLE -- Harold Lee Wible, 72, long time resident of Albuquerque passed away August 17, 2008 after battling a rare form of Leukemia. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Jackie; two children son, Jimmy Walton, his wife Becky and their children Derek and Kenny; daughter Leigh-Ann Wible and her children Jonathan, Ashlee, and Madison; brother Robert Wible and wife Betty; sisters, Delores Ricardo, Joann Paules and husband Jerry, Peggy Lane, Kaye Ashman and husband Sigel, Virginia Barber, Carolyn Rogers and husband Richard, Barbara Scheaffer and husband Bill, all of Pennsylvania. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Hellen Wible. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force for 20 years. After retirement from the Air Force, he received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Albuquerque. He continued his employment in Saudi Arabia with MacDonald Douglas and Lockheed Aircraft, Bell and Sikorsky Helicopter for ten years. His last employment was with Club Demonstration Services (CDS) at the Eubank Costco warehouse #667 as supervisor. Lee and Jackie enjoyed traveling and quality time with his family and friends.
