MUELLER -- Renee Westmoreland-Mueller, age 51, of Albuquerque and formerly of Las Cruces, passed away peacefully in her sleep, while surrounded by her loving family Friday, August 22, 2008. Renee was born November 23, 1956, in Las Cruces, to Forrest and Joyce Westmoreland, along with her twin brother, Brent. She grew up in Las Cruces, graduating from Mayfield High School in 1974 and earned a Bachelors degree in journalism with honors in 1992 from New Mexico State University. She fell in love with, and married Frank Mueller on December 7, 1990. On January 12, 1994, they were blessed with a daughter, Ava Nicole. Renee worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft, both in New Mexico and in Long Beach, CA. She earned her General Contracting license and worked many years for Clay-West Development Corp. Renee enjoyed being reared in the Mesilla Valley. She was known for her sense of humor, always having a smile on her face. Renee was an incredible wife and mother. Her kind heart endeared her to all who knew her. She was a third generation New Mexican. Renee is survived by her loving husband, Frank Mueller; awesome daughter, Ava Mueller; great parents, Joyce and Forrest Westmoreland; loving twin brother, Brent Westmoreland; nieces, Kerry and Whitney Westmoreland; grand nephew, William Westmoreland. A small service was held at French Mortuary Westside Chapel in Albuquerque with family and a few close friends. A subsequent celebration of Renee's life will be held at a later date in Las Cruces.
