GONZALES -- Pauline C. Gonzales, born on November 8, 1920, and was only 87 years young, was called home to be with Our Lord on August 17, 2008. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her son, Miguel Ricardo (Calito) and wife, Mary Lou; her daughters, Juanita (Negra) Padilla and husband, Paul, Annette Gonzales and husband, Dale Butler; her brother, Miguel (Calo) Saavedra, and wife Criselda; her sisters, Trisa Saavedra, Dixie Ortiz and Della Wood; her grandchildren, Natalie Williamson and husband, Brian, Specialist Miguel R. Gonzales Jr. U.S. Army, Victoria Padilla-Jonas and husband, Scott, Jason Padilla, Crystal Gates and husband, Gunny Sergeant Andrew, U.S.M.C., and Christina Higgins; her great-grandchildren, Jason Pavelko, Matthew Williamson, Autumn, Jonathan and Dallas Gates, Gabrielle and Katelynn Higgins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Gonzales was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Pemilia Saavedra; and her brothers, Luis and Juanito Saavedra. Mrs. Gonzales was a life long member of the Catholic Church, primarily attending St. Anne Catholic and Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Miguel and Criselda Saavedra. Final visitation will be Thursday morning at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., a Franciscan Friar, presider. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Annette Gonzales, Jason Padilla, Miguel Gonzales Jr., Juanito Saavedra, Michael Saavedra and Dennis Saavedra.
