RICHARDSON -- Olive M. Richardson, 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died Monday, August 11, 2008. She is survived by her niece, Thena McKown of Smithfield, NC; nephew, Glen E. Anderson of Drumright, OK; sister-in-law, Mrs. Patricia James of Zionville, IN; and numerous great nieces and nephews and friends. Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Richardson in October 1993; her parents; and two brothers and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family. Olive was born in Vinco, OK, the daughter of W.O. and Myrtle Anderson. She earned a degree from Oklahoma State University and did graduate work at the University of Oklahoma. Olive married Donald in 1943. She taught school for many years in several states and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools. Olive was an active member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Widows, AARP, and NM Retired Teachers Organizations. She was a loving aunt and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at La Vida Llena Retirement Community, in the Chapel, 10501 Lagrima De Oro NE, Friday, August 15, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Private Graveside Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
