REYNA -- Robert J. Reyna went home with his Lord on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. He was a very private person, not ever wanting to call attention to himself. The Lord was aware of this, so He took him quietly and peacefully, as he lived. Robert was dealing with an illness for quite some time and would not accept help from anyone. He would tell us "I can handle this myself in my way." But things seemed to get harder for him and became too much, taking one step forward, two steps back. Lord saw and said "Enough, enough Robert, come home!" Robert probably said "No, not now, maybe tomorrow..."but the Lord took him by the shoulder, knowing the struggles and trials...Lord said "Come." He is survived by his mother, Fern Reyna; a son, Robert Bart whom he loved, Robert's pride and joy, and was so very proud of him. He leaves ex-wife, Rhonda Reyna, always there when he needed someone, she was his best friend, always there. Donna Cauley, ex mother-in-law who loved Robert and was a mother to him in many ways, helping and supporting him. His sisters, Wilma and her husband Larry Ulibarri, Cecilia and husband Juan Silva; brothers, Eugene, William and his wife Kelly, numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his father, William "Willie"; and his brother, Michael Reyna. Robert went to St. Mary's School, a graduate of Rio Grande High School. He loved to ride his Harley. He washed and polished that Harley so much, he almost wore out the color. His brother, brother-in-law and niece gave him his final motorcycle escort home. Robert will be missed by all. We love you Robert, we miss you- you have a special place in our hearts-always! The family thanks all the relatives and friends, whether by phone call, food or flowers, or just sat with us.
