HALL -- Susan Ruth Hall, 63, of Grants, NM, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 19, 2008 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Susan was born April 5, 1945 the daughter of Samuel and Minnie Schwartz Ostroff in Brooklyn, NY. After years of working as a waitress and then a bookkeeper, Sue spent the last 22 years of her life caring for children in need. Throughout those years, she and her husband fostered over 100 children, adopting their grandson and three foster children, brothers who were then able to be raised together, and taking guardianship of two special needs foster children. Of the other children they took in, some stayed for days, and others for extended periods of time. All were blessed and their lives made richer by the love and dedication of this amazing woman. Sue survived by her husband 30 years, Harold Dean Hall of Grants, NM; children, Laurie Brothers, Rochelle Hawley, Janene Taylor, Debbie Sena and husband Arnold, Matthew, Joseph, Kevin, and Nathan Hall, Jason and Jessica Duncan, and Jason Steel; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; one brother, Barry Ostroff and wife Lois; and one sister, Karen Barryhill and husband Jim. The visitation for Susan will be on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the Service at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Matthew Hall, Kevin Hall, Joseph Hall, Nathan Hall, Weldon Hall, and Phil Atencio.
