BERNHARDT -- Barbara Maude Bernhardt, 84, a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM and Versailles, KY died on Monday, June 30, 2008. She is survived by her spouse, Walter Kenneth Bernhardt, also of Albuquerque and Versailles; daughter, Bobbie Kielhofer and her husband, John of Albuquerque; daughter, Tracey Weisberg and husband, Marty of New York; son, Ken Bernhardt and wife, Mary of Lexington, KY; daughter, Annie Low and husband, Stan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Aisha, Aron, Ashton, Barbara, Carrie, Clayton, Hannah, Kate, Kenny and Margot; great-grandchildren, Abby, Aubrey, Elise, and Shane; and brother, Dr. Ivan Ward Lasher and wife, Helen of Fresno, CA. Mrs. Bernhardt was preceded in death by her brother, Dell Lasher and his wife, Charlene of Animas, NM; and parents, Clayton and Nina Tumblin Lasher, also of Albuquerque. Barbara served honorably during World War II, as a WAC medical technician, at Bruns Army Hospital in Santa Fe. She and Ken were married on August 4, 1945, and raised their family in Northern New Mexico and other locales during 63 years of dedicated marriage. They were members of the Versailles, KY Presbyterian Church, attended Sandia Presbyterian in Albuquerque, and were past members of Palos Park, IL Presbyterian Church. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. The services will be preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
