GUTIERREZ -- Pedro "Pete" Gutierrez, 83 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. He was a very devoted member of San Jose Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Lucia Gutierrez and his brothers, Gonzalo and Isidro Gutierrez. He is survived by his wife, Estella; his children, Larry Jaquez, Raymond Gutierrez and wife, Mary Margaret, Steve Gutierrez, Michael Gutierrez, Sr. and wife, Maria, Tony Gutierrez and fiance, Monica, Linda Gomez and husband, Mario, Charlene Abrego and husband, Raymundo, Laura Medina and husband, Omar, Daniel Gutierrez and wife, Monica, Llubia Gutierrez and husband, Jorge, Carlos Gutierrez, Jasmine Gutierrez; 29 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, his sisters, Elvira Moreno, Gloria Rivas and husband, Francisco and Pauline Garcia and many nieces and nephews. Pedro will be greatly missed by his loving family. Pedro served in the United States Armed Forces in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a former Justice of the Peace and a Bailiff for the Juvenile Courts. Visitation will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Garcia Mortuary, in the 8th Street Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church on Sunday, June 1, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Jose with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ilario Jaquez, Peter, David Steven, Daniel and Carlos Gutierrez.
