CARDENAS -- Jose Valdez Cardenas, 91, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosa; children Gloria, Helen, Geraldine, John, James, Lucille, Nancy, Vincent, and Marie; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons, Joe, Jr., Mario and Daniel. Joe served in both the US Navy and retired from the US Air Force; serving in WWII, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. He retired from Civil Service, Kirtland Air Force Base. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, May 1, 2008, 9:00 a.m. at Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road, NE. Interment with full military honors will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, Presbyterian Health Care Foundation, P.
