BILAKE -- Chet Bilake, 89, of Albuquerque was born in Trenton, New Jersey to Julian and Anna Bielicki on August 25, 1918, and passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008, at The Rehabilition Center of Albuquerque. Chet served in the Air Force as a co-pilot in WWII and stateside in the Korean War. Moving to Albuquerque after the war, Chet found a home with PNM as a personnel and budget manager until his retirement. Chet was also socially active in the Scottish and Yorkrite Shriners and served as President of the Kiwanis. Chet was preceded in death by his sole-mate of 53 years, Mary Nell Bilake. They are now together dancing in heaven and being our guardian angels. At Chet's request, he will be cremated and there will not be a memorial service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Shriners of Albuquerque. Left to cherish his life is his beautiful daughter, Barbara Brown of Albuquerque, two grandchildren, Debbie Williams and her husband, Mark, of Beaumont, TX., Dennis Brown and his wife, Frances; and three great-grandchildren, Dale, Lynne, and Alex all of Rio Rancho, NM. The family would like to thank The Ambercare Group for all of their help and support and for allowing Chet to die as he lived, with dignity and pride.
