MARTIN -- Gail Martin, the strongest woman we have ever known, passed away on April 20, 2008, after a courageous three-year battle with breast cancer. She was 57 years old. Gail is survived by her husband of almost 35 years, Sam Martin; her three children, Kris and wife, Jennifer, Kevin, and Kimberly; her grandchildren, Jeremy and Hailey; mother, June McDonald; mother-in-law, Jean Martin; brothers, Tim Meehan and Paul Wesner; sister, Kelli and husband, Paul Allen; sister-in-law, Betty Tantimonaco; nieces and nephews, Garrett and Travis Martin, Ashley and Heather Tantimonaco, Katy Meehan, Jaymi, and Kaysi Allen; very close friends; countless extended family members; and a loving medical care staff. Gail spent her entire life giving to others. She was an avid gardener who loved animals (her own and the wild ones), bird watching, and quilting. Gail never met a stranger, and any person she encountered she treated with just as much love and kindness as her own family. Cremation has taken place and a private Memorial is being held. The family requests a donation to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Gail's name in lieu of flowers. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 67676, Albuquerque, NM 87193. If you knew Gail, you loved her. Her strong will and legacy of love for her family and friends will live on forever. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (505) 897-0300 www.frenchmortuary.com
