GALON-RESS -- Ruth Galon-Ress, 88, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Socorro, NM. She was born March 7, 1920, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Herman and Emma (Brown) Galon. As an infant, she immigrated to the United States with her family and she grew up in California and New Mexico. She lived the majority of her life in New Mexico as a wife and partner in the ranching business. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Fite; brother, Ervin Galon; her children: JoAnn Cook, Carolyn Wilson and husband, Bill, Clifford Cook and wife, Valerie, Evelyn Kirby and husband, Lee, Patricia Majors and husband, Stuart, and Keith (Buck) Bryan and wife, Sandra; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She had many talents and will be fondly remembered by her family and her many friends. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
