BUNTEN -- James A. Bunten, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Grace Bunten, and brother, William Bunten. Jim was born on September 20, 1922 in Topeka, Kansas, and moved to Albuquerque in 1932. After graduating from Albuquerque High School, he served three years in the United States Army-Air Force. He then worked for the Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement 42 years later. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Augusta; son, James A. Bunten, Jr. and wife, Helen; son, Edward L. Bunten; daughter, Virginia L. Lopez and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Victoria L. Lopez, Robert L. Lopez, David L. Lopez, and Steven L. Lopez; great-grandchildren, Natalie R. Lopez and Aubrie E. Lopez; brothers, Daniel Bunten and wife, Mary Ann; Donald Bunten and wife, Billye; many nieces and nephews, and last, but not least, his beloved dog, "Lady". Jim will be deeply missed and always remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, and love of life. A private Service was held on Monday, March 31, 2008. "Ta ta, Da-da!"
