WEEKS -- Marcella A. Weeks, age 66, of Las Cruces passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at her residence. She was born December 24, 1941, in Albuquerque to Alfredo and Frances Torres. Marcella was a devoted wife and mother. She meant so much too so many different people and was always willing to step in for anyone in need of help. Her life was devoted to her family with unconditional love. The world is truly a lesser place without her. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her throughout her life time. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Bradley B. Weeks, of the family home; five children, Richard C. Baca of Los Lunas, Patricia Y. Baca of Las Vegas, Nevada, Bryan B. Weeks and wife, Bernadette, of Edgewood, Darla A. Weeks of Albuquerque, and Kevin A. Weeks of Las Cruces. Other survivors include her brothers and sisters, Ernest Torres and wife, Darlene, Mella Baca, Marie Johnston, Virgie Salazar and husband, Joe, Joe A. Torres and partner, Lee Traub, Eugene Torres and wife, Linda, Francis Vigil and partner, Vince, Sandra Livesay and husband, Dennis, Lorraine Torres and partner, Ernie Moreno; as well as 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bennie Torres and Eddie Torres. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Reverend Don Adamski, officiating. The family would like thank the entire staff of Mesilla Valley Hospice, especially Jon LaVertu RN and Rene Vasquez. Donations in her name may be sent to Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana, Las Cruces. The Weeks Family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels. 527-2222
