LAMKIN -- William Amos "Sam" Lamkin, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, died February 17, 2008 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born April 17, 1921 in Tell City, Indiana to William Marion Lamkin and Neely Mae (Moseley) Lamkin. Mr. Lamkin resided in Albuquerque, NM from 1946 until he retired and relocated to Las Cruces NM in 1985. Mr. Lamkin is survived by his son, William Larry and wife, Inez Lamkin; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Nerine Lamkin; one sister; and three brothers. Graveside Funeral Services were held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where he was laid to rest along with his wife Martha. Arrangements by: Getz Funeral Home, corner of Bowman Ave. and Solano.
