ORTIZ -- Aaron Matthew Ortiz, born April 21,1988, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008. He was 19 years old. Born in Raton, Aaron was a sophomore at Central New Mexico Community College, planning to study veterinary medicine at Colorado State University. Aaron attended Sandia High School and Grant Middle School in Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Hunter" Ortz. He is survived by his mother, Annette Ortiz; his two older brothers, Patrick and Christopher; his grandparents Leroy and Patricia Ortiz, and Maggie and Dan Ortiz; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins; and friends. Aaron will be missed by many, and his loss leaves us all heavy with grief and heartache. We will remember Aaron's spirit and inspirations and the times we shared with him. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 22, 2008 at 9 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 1800 Martha St. NE.
