ROMERO -- Tomasita Romero, age 91, beloved and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2008. She was a longtime resident of Canon, NM. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe D. Romero. Tomasita is survived by her loving children, Dolores (Vita) Chavez and husband David of Albuquerque, NM; Emma Marquez and husband John of Antonio, CO; Leandro Romero and wife Rosalie of Rio Rancho, NM; Irene Budnik and husband Lloyd of Holland, MI; and Ryan Romero. Tomasita has 12 "Darling" grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren that loved her dearly. She is also survived by her brother Manuel and her sisters Emma, Epifania, Elizada, Sister Mary Agnes, Gloria, and Cipriana. Tomasita will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched. Tomasita will be forever remembered with beautiful memories that flow in our hearts. A Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Joseph Budnik, Danny Sena, Jimmy Sena, and Carlos Romero. Honorary bearers will be Michelle Sladick and Andrea Carvajal.
