TIRADO -- Luz Divina Tirado, 87, went to be with her lord on January 31, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on January 21, 1921 to Jose and Petra Hernandez-Valiente in Comerio, Puerto Rico, USA. She was the first of three children, and her parents were sweet and tender and of high morals which they instilled in their children. They imparted in her a deep belief in God, his precepts, his ten commandments and the creation of the universe, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and how he sacrificed himself to give us eternal life. Luz graduated from Comerio High School and went on to receive a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina in health and nutrition. She worked for the United States government and the Puerto Rican government in health and nutrition education. She married her husband, Pedro F. Tirado in 1948 and is survived by six children; five sons: Frank Tirado, Nelson Tirado, Pedro Tirado Lt Col USAF (Ret)., Dennis Tirado, Milton Tirado, and one daughter, Luz V. Tirado. Luz is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro F. Tirado. She symbolized and personified all the qualities and beauty that is embodied in the word, Mother.
