GOMEZ -- Loretta Gomez, 65, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 15, 2008. Loretta is survived by her husband of 42 years Elmo. She is also survived by her sons; Mark and wife, Jessica, and Jason and wife, Serenity Gomez all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, Brianna and Brooke Gomez; brothers, Larry and Rudy Anaya; sisters, Edwina Garcia, Dolly Saavedra, Suzie Candelaria; and special niece Belinda and husband, Abe Henry, all of Albuquerque NM. Loretta also leaves behind numerous, beloved nieces and nephews. Loretta retired with 35 years of service at Kirtland Air Force Base as editor of a Nuclear Surety publication. Loretta was the "Rock" of her family, the one who many would come to for her knowledge and advice. She will be greatly missed for her words of advice and encouragement. A Rosary will be held Friday, January 18, 2008, at French Mortuary Westside Chapel at 6:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 619 Copper NW, with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery to follow.
