MARTINEZ -- Raymond A. Martinez, "Beaver", loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle passed away on Monday, January 7, 2008 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Phyllis Martinez of the family home; daughters, Ramona MacLeod and husband, Joseph and Renee Martinez, all of Albuquerque; grandsons Gus and Caleb MacLeod; special nieces and nephews, Patsy Salazar-Vigil, Jacqueline Davis, Roberta Martinez, Orlando Salazar, and Steven Santistevan; and many great-nieces and -nephews. Also surviving is his extended family Gene and MaryAnn Martinez and their children and grandchildren. Beaver was born and raised in Dixon, NM and has resided in Albuquerque since 1973. He retired in 2002 from General Electric after 25 years. A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE. Interment will follow Service at Father Kupper Catholic Cemetery in Embudo, NM.
