ARMIJO -- ALICE ROSIE Mrs. Alice Rosie Armijo, 64, was called by her children Lorraine, Placido Jr. and Frank to join them to be with our Lord Jesus. She passed away with her loving children at her bedside on September 2, 2007. Mrs. Armijo was born in Magdelena, NM on May 3, 1943. Her death was related to a brief fight with cancer. She is survived by her husband, of 19 years, Manuel Gonzales; daughters, Christina and husband, Jacob Candelaria and Janie Romero and companion, David Casaus; sons, Isaiah Gonzales (aka Gumdrop), Edwin and wife, Emelda Armijo and Victor and wife, Joyce Armijo; grandchildren, Angel, Jacob Jr., Maria, Dorothy, Edwin Jr., Amy , Caroline and companion, Daniel , Valerie, Lori, Jessie, and Daniel; great-granddaughter, Alisha and Nelia; sister, Geneva Chavez; brothers, Clorindo Ortiz and wife, Josephine, Lucario Gonzales and wife, Lori, Arturo Gonzales and wife, Tillie and Antonio Gonzales and wife, Brigitte. Mrs. Armijo was preceded in death by her husband, Placido Sr.; children, Lorraine, Placido Jr. and Frank; her parents, Antonio and Ramona Gonzales; sisters, Felicita Lopez and Virginia Candelaria; and brothers, Juan Gonzales and Fred Gonzales. Alice was employed by Service Master by Brown for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family and friends. Alice was a member of Ascension Catholic Church and a devoted Catholic. She touched many hearts throughout out her life, as it came naturally to her and she will truly be missed. A visitation for Mrs. Armijo will be Wednesday, September 5, 2007, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Anna Villegas. A final visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2007, at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Victor Armijo, Edwin Armijo, Jessie Romero, Daniel Romero, Victor Serrato, and Manuel Zavala. Named as Honorary Pallbearers are Charles Armijo and David Casaus.
