EDWARDS -- Joseph P. Edwards, age 72, of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at a local hospital. He was born February 17, 1935 in Tupelo, MS to Joseph O. Edwards and Ollie Mae Hunt. He married Edith B. Schon on May 12, 1956 in Germany. Mr. Edwards was a retired veteran of the United States Army Special Forces, he served during Vietnam receiving two bronze stars. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Edith B. Edwards of Albuquerque; his daughter, Darleene K. Edwards and her husband, Anthony J. Giancola; his sons, Larry A. Edwards, Gary B. Edwards and his wife, Karen J., all of Albuquerque, Terry R. Edwards and his wife, Debra S. of Tupelo, MS; and his grandchildren, Holly N. Edwards, Nicholas L. Jackson and Robert K. Jackson, all of Albuquerque. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 2, 2007, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
