MALDONADO -- Joseph Augustin Maldonado 1917 - 2007. On June 3, 2007 Joe (Augie) Maldonado went home to join his wife, Vera with our Lord. He was pre-deceased by Vera in 2004 and his elder son, David Michael in 2006. He is survived by his son, Thomas E. Maldonado (Lydia) of Tustin, CA; granddaughter, Tamara (Mark) Rowe; great-granddaughters, Tayler and Temre Wroge of Orange, CA and his brother, Fred Maldonado of Springer, New Mexico. Born in Dawson, New Mexico, Joe spent his yourger years in Colfax County, New Mexico as a rancher, farmer, and coal miner. He retired from Albuquerque's Sandia Corporation in 1981. Joe will be remembered as a true gentleman, tough and rugged but fair, honest and compassionate. A devoted family man whose wife and sons took precedence over all else in his life. Daughter-in-law, Lydia is arranging a celebration of Joe's life on June 27, 2007 at the family home in Tustin, California.
