GOMEZ -- Paul Earnest Gomez II, born December 2, 1929 in Santa Rita, NM. A longtime resident of Tucson, AZ, Paul passed on Tuesday, June 12 2007 at the veterans Hospital in Albuquerque. He is the son of Paul Gomez and Margaret Gomez, and is survived by his loving friend and mother of his children, Ramona Martinez; children, Frances Gomez, husband, Mike; daughter, Christina Gomez; son, Paul T. Gomez III and wife, Lynn, and daughter, Barbara I. Gomez; 11 grandchildren, Michael Gomez, Paul James Gomez and wife, Brenda, Raquel Gomez, Elizabeth Gomez, Dominic Martinez, Bernadette (Gomez) Johnson, Paul Tito Gomez IV, Paul Timothy Gomez V and wife, Ashley, Michelle Gomez, Francesca Tarango, and Nichole Jardine: Paul Gomez III's three stepchildren, David Lopez, wife, Joella, Davina Garcia, Jeremy Garcia: 22 great-grandchildren; his loving sister, Genevieve Salas and husband, Eloy of Gallup; sister, Lillian Mendoza and husband, Harry of Gallup; his precious nieces and nephews; and his loving friends that loved and will miss him. Memorial Services will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sarah Rd. in Rio Rancho, on Tuesday, June 19, 2007. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow immediately in the Parish Hall. Burial will take place, also on Tuesday, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, at 3:00 p.m., with U.S. Marine Corps Honors.
