MARTINEZ -- Fredrick Martinez "Freddy", age 34, lost his battle with Muscular Dystrophy on Thursday, June 14, 2007. He attended Manzano High School in Albuquerque and Freddy loved fishing and hunting. He always looked forward to hunting season at the Ranch in Santa Rosa. Freddy's favorite pastime was playing his guitar and writing his music. Freddy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfonso and Eva Casaus; his aunt, Nellie Oldham; and his paternal uncle, Albert Martinez. He is survived by his ten year old daughter, Larissa, who was the light of his life; one brother, Arthur Martinez and wife, Lisa; his biological mother, Helen Martinez; his biological father, Jimmy Martinez and step-mother, Marcia; two step-brothers, George and Leroy Trujillo; paternal grandmother, Albina Martinez of Santa Rosa; his favorite uncle, Junior; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly, especially his closest cousins, Adam, Mark and Billy. He also had many aunts and uncles whom he loved. Memorial Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 4th and Alameda NW. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008
