SANCHEZ -- Tony Merenciano Sanchez, Sr. SSGT. USAF Retired, CCC Marine and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on the 11th day of June 2007. Tony was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Dorothy and by two sons, Leo and Joe. He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Tony M. Sanchez Jr. and wife, Gerda of Germany, Albert Sanchez, Melissa Lueras and husband, Fred, Gregory A. Sanchez and wife, Rita of San Antonio, NM, Bernice Maestas and husband, Mike, Robert L. Sanchez, Elizabeth Sanchez and Donald Sanchez, all of Albuquerque; numerous brothers and sisters. Tony was very proud of his 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008.
