HANSCHE -- George E. Hansche passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2007. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin. George attended Ripon College, then got his PhD in Physics at Ohio State University. He met and married Helen Johnson in Albuquerque in 1945. After a year teaching at Rose Poly in Terre Haute, Indiana, they returned to Albuquerque where George worked for Sandia National Laboratories for the rest of his career. After retiring from Sandia Labs, they enjoyed traveling in their RV and gardening. George was preceded in death by one grandson and he is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Bruce and wife, Chris, Brian and wife, Margie; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 2:00pm.
