GRANT -- Tillie A. Grant, 91, a life-long resident of New Mexico, went home with the Lord on Saturday, May 19, 2007. She is survived by her children: Dianna and husband, Tony Bargas, Priscilla and husband, Harry Schiltz, Marie Achilles, Joey Grant and wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Michelle Anaya (Freddie), Martin Bargas (Vanessa), Robert Bargas (Valerie), John Bargas, Wayne Schiltz, David Palmer (Jen), Patrick Schiltz (Faith), Robbie Schiltz, Timmie Schiltz, Dr. Chad Achilles, Todd Achilles, Grant Achilles, Joseph Grant, and Melissa Grant; great-grandchildren, Michael, Isaac, Isaiah, Paige, Mia, Amari, Sean, Sebastian, Zachary, Nathaniel, Cheyenne, Emma, and Robbie; great-great-granddaughter, Cameryn; sister, Dora Zamora; brother-in-law, Dickie Grant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Grant; son-in-law, Doug Achilles; granddaughter, Jennifer Grant; and great-grandsons, Isidro and Israel Anaya. Mrs. Grant graduated from Capitan High School as valedictorian and was a star basketball player. She got an associates degree in business from Browning Business College. She was one of the founding members of Holy Ghost Parish, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, was a lector and Eucharistic minister. Mrs. Grant was very active at St. Pius School while her children were students. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and always put others before herself. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, May 23, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Visitation will be one hour prior to the rosary. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday, May 24, 9:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 713 4th SW, Albuquerque 87102.
