CAIRE -- Mercedes Caire went home to be with the Lord at the age of 78 (September 25, 1928 - May 18, 2007). Mercedes is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest and her son, David. She is survived by her children, Alice and husband, Jerry Minitrez; Ray Caire and wife, Roz; Lawrence Caire and wife, Virginia; 11 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rey Caire II, Lawrence Caire Jr., Jacob Sedillo, Paul Minitrez, Ernest Caire, and Fidencio Cadena. Honorary pallbearer will be Luis Valadez. A Rosary for Mrs. Caire will be recited on Wednesday evening, May 23, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Reception will follow the Rosary at the St. Anne Parish Hall. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at St. Anne Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice, for the wonderful service they provided the family.
