ARGYRES -- Pete George Argyres, born September 14, 1963, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away May 18, 2007. Pete was known for his zest for life and those who surrounded him; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Pete lived life to the fullest with his dogs he called "the boys" (Black and Boz). He was preceded in death by his best friend and fishing buddy, Mike Strother. Pete leaves behind his parents, George and Katherine Argyres of Albuquerque; his brothers, Dino Argyres and his daughter, Shay Lynn of Albuquerque, Frank Argyres and wife, Vanessa and their two boys, Andrew and Georgie of Seattle, WA, and Demetres Argyres also of Albuquerque; along with numerous other relatives and friends. The Trisagion will be Monday, May 21, 2007, 7 p.m. in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2007, 11 a.m. at St George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE, with Father Paul Patitsas presiding; burial to follow in Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NM Heart Association, St. George Greek Orthodox Church, or a charity of your choice. Pete's family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Lootsios, Dr. Ierides, Dr. Salim Wolji, and the entire staff of the CCC Unit of Presbyterian Hospital for all of their help and support during this trying time.
