RAYBURN -- Lois L. Rayburn of Los Alamos, NM, died on Thursday, May 10, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Hannabal, MO on February 12, 1923. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Los Alamos Christian Church, 92 East Road in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Christian Church and designated for the "Lois Rayburn Memorial Fund." She is survived by her husband Harold Rayburn; and their two children, Gale Thomas and Mark Rayburn; along with four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Harold and Lois together founded The Christian Church in Los Alamos, NM, in 1954 with Harold being the senior pastor for the first few years of its existence. Several pastors followed over the years. They were still members of that church at Lois's passing.
