ATKINSON -- DWAYNE ARTHUR Born 1/19/1973, Date of Death 5/5/07. He is survived by his father, Albert Rodriguez; two sisters, Charlene and husband Kevin Fletcher, Lara and husband Tony Swanson; one brother, Eric Rodriguez; three nephews Adam, Anthony, Niko; and a niece, Desiree. He was proceeded in death by his grandmother Florence Wicke; his mother, Carolyn; and his son Robert Dean Atkinson. Dwayne was one of a kind, he was a caring, loving gentleman. He will be missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place, A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, located on Juan Tabo NE 323-9000. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the Animal Humane Association.

CANDELARIA -- Jerry F. Candelaria, 53, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 9, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Jerry is the beloved husband to Mary Ann. Jerry is also survived by his two daughters, Geraldine Candelaria, Theresa Rogers and husband, Yei; three granddaughters, Trinity, Ariah and Natelyn; his parents, Samuel B. and Susanna Candelaria; one sister, Lorraine A. Candelaria; one brother, Sam Candelaria and wife, Annie; three nieces, Alyssa, Krizia and Janelle; two nephews, Jang and Jacob; mother in law, Odelia Lucero; several brothers in law, sisters in law, other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father in law, Ray Lucero, a granddaughter, Sental Luna, his grandfather, Fred Candelaria, nephews, Phillip Joshua Garcia. Jerry was a member of the Catholic Church, a graduate of Albuquerque High School, class of 1971. Jerry was an avid fan of the Greenbay Packers and New Mexico Lobos. He loved fishing, hunting, the Boston Celtics, and sports. He was the life of the party, an awesome dancer, never a stranger to anyone, a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, son and a friend to all. Visitation for Jerry will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Pablo LeFerbe. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Bijoy Frances. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Yei Rogers, Rudy Yardman, Sam Candelaria, Michael Lucero, Gabe Rodriguez and Jang Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Candelaria, Ray Allen Madrid, Brandon Garcia, Arklas Beyer, Aaron Sowder, Anthony Sowder, Steven Maestas, Mario Maestas,Allen Lucero, Dana Bates, Mike Sowder, Carl Beyer and Mike Anaya. CHAVEZ -- Louise A. Chavez, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, May 12, 2007. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, William Chavez; children, Mark W. Chavez and wife, Mary, Ann E. Stevens and husband, Dan, James A. Chavez and wife, Deborah, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Brian Chavez, Katie Chavez, Susan Stevens, Regina Chavez, James C. Chavez, Matthew Stevens, Allison Chavez, Kristen Chavez and Ashley Chavez; brother, Frank S. Abeyta of Albuquerque; sisters, Susan Corrigan and husband, Jack of Denver, CO and Josephine Morrill and husband, Edward of Boulder City, NV; and nieces, nephews and many friends. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Amado and Josefita Gomez Abeyta; siblings, Sister Mary Rose Abeyta, Gabriel Abeyta, Carlos Abeyta and Mark Abeyta; beloved niece, Dolores Gropp; and nephew, Frank Morrill. She was born in Tiffany, CO. Louise was an active member of Queen of Heaven Parish where she served as Eucharistic Minister, member of the Spanish Choir, Past Regent of the Catholic Daughters, and RCIA coordinator. She was an avid golfer, bridge player, gardener and gourmet cook. Louise was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A rosary will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE, Monday, May 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Barela reciting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE, Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 10:00 a.m. Private interment will take place in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. RAYBURN -- Lois L. Rayburn of Los Alamos, NM, died on Thursday, May 10, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Hannabal, MO on February 12, 1923. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Los Alamos Christian Church, 92 East Road in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Christian Church and designated for the "Lois Rayburn Memorial Fund." She is survived by her husband Harold Rayburn; and their two children, Gale Thomas and Mark Rayburn; along with four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Harold and Lois together founded The Christian Church in Los Alamos, NM, in 1954 with Harold being the senior pastor for the first few years of its existence. Several pastors followed over the years. They were still members of that church at Lois's passing.

SHIPP -- Georgia Jane Shipp, 71, passed away May 10, suddenly, of a heart attack. Jane was born in Shreveport, LA, and spent most of her adult life in New Mexico, first in Tucumcari, and later in various locations on the Navajo reservation while serving as a teacher and administrator for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. While in Flagstaff, AZ, she completed her Masters degree in teaching English as a Second Language. She lived in Albuquerque several times, and served as Chief Education Officer for Kirkland Air Force Base. She received the Governor's Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women in 1990. After retiring from federal service, she lived for a short time in Bosque Farms, and then returned to Albuquerque. She served as a Commissioner on the New Mexico State Board of Higher Education. She cherished the friends she made while working on the Navajo reservation and while in Albuquerque. She enjoyed hiking, skiing, and playing with her grandchildren in recent years. She is survived by her children, David S. Dabau, Jo-Lynne Noble, Patrick S. Shipp, and Kristan J. Cole; her grandchildren Sierra and Haley Cole, Katie and Allie Noble and Cassady Sky Dabau; her sister, Dixie L. Johnson; and her nephews, Ben and Brad Rosenblum. The family will host a celebration of Jane's life on Monday, May 14 from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.

WILLIAMS -- Francisca Duran Williams, 69, a native New Mexican and resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Williams; her children, Tom McBride and wife Jean, Tanya McBride and fiance Roy White Eagle, Tamra McBride and fiance Ed McIlvain, and Toby McBride and wife Ellen; grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob and Carter McBride; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Corina Duran; and former husband, Dr. Max McBride Jr. Frances worked as a Registered Nurse for over 35 years after graduating from the first Nursing School class of the University of New Mexico in 1959. She also had a master's degree in Education. She retired from Albuquerque Public Schools as a school nurse after 22 years of service. Most recently, she was employed in home health care services which she found especially rewarding. She will be remembered for her generosity, humor, and work ethic. ZAMORA -- Manuel A. Zamora, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. He was born January 6, 1921 in LaJunta, CO. He retired as a Master Sgt. from the U.S. Air Force. Manuel is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jennie M. Montoya; his children, Linda Carin Nelson, Gregory Michael Zamora, Kathryn Ann Zamora-Levandowski, Susanna Marie Pollman, Teresa Jane Sanchez, Mark Anthony Zamora, and Emmanuel Ascisclo Zamora; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2007 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Kirtland Air Force Base Chapel on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Thomas R. Maikowski, celebrant.
