SPOHN -- Cpl. Clifford A. Sponh III (21) of Wasilla, Alaska and Albuquerque, NM died Monday April 9th 2007 in Karmah, Iraq. He was assigned to the Army's 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th ID based out of Fort Richardson, Alaska. He joined the Military in October of 2004 and was deployed to Iraq in October 2006. He is survived by his wife Amanda Spohn and daughter Raynee of Wasilla, Alaska and his parents Clifford A. Spohn II and Sandra Mae Spohn along with his siblings Helen, Daniel, Laura and Shannon Spohn. Adam was a wonderful husband and father and a terrific son and brother. He enjoyed life to the fullest and especially enjoyed singing, camping and outdoor activities. His big grin could melt any heart and his compassion for others was well known. Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (at the intersection of Ellison and Golf Course roads just west of Cibola HS on Ellison) at 10 a.m. on April 19, 2007.
