HINCKLEY -- William "Bill" Brent Hinckley, born on August 12, 1963 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis John Hinckley. For many years, Bill worked as a mechanical engineer for Los Alamos National Laboratory. In spite of his physical pain, he loved to play with his children. He was especially devoted to his wife and children as well as his extended family. He considered the family cabin in the Pecos to be his Sanctuary and loved spending time there with family and friends. He loved the outdoors, including backpacking, and hunting, and particularly fishing which "ran through his veins". A 1981 graduate of Las Cruces High School, he participated in multiple sports with football being his favorite. He enjoyed watching sports in general, but most of all his Miami Dolphins, fishing tournaments, and college basketball. He was a loyal friend to many. He had unbounded generosity to all and took great pleasure in showing it by exercising his talent for fixing anything. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hinckley; children: Alexandra and Avery Hinckley; mother, Anita Blackburn and husband, Wayne; brother, Rick and wife, Tammy; sister, Cara Hammond and husband, Asa and their children: Kyle and Kayla; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He touched our hearts in his own special way and we will all miss him greatly. Services will be Wednesday, April 4, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. A reception will immediately follow at the Karen McLaughlin Hall; interment to follow at the Guaje Pines Cemetery. Donations can be made in memory of Bill to your favorite charity. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Services, 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM, 87505. (505) 984-8600.
