ROMERO -- Lucinda Molina Romero, age 76, born in Jarales, NM, a resident of La Joya, NM, "A Good Hearted Woman" who danced her way home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2007. She was a faithful member of Our Lady Of Sorrows Catholic Church in La Joya. Lucy was a good friend to all who knew her, she loved her family and friends, loved life, music and most of all to dance. She was voted the world's BEST cook by four generations of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Manuelita Molina; her brother, Maggie Molina and her son, Joseph Romero. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Eliosim O. Romero, of La Joya; her six children, Teresa Romero Crook and her husband, Jim, Sam and his wife, Laurie, Gerald and his wife, Bernie, Edward and his wife, Jennie and Peter and his wife, Michele; her sisters, Cippie Zamora, Sally Trujillo, Rudy Molina and Ladis Molina; she was "Sugar" to 14 grandchildren, Dawn and her husband, Mark, Kirk, Lynnette, Michael and his wife, Lupe, Christina and her husband, Sean, Terry, Shawn, Tim, Jeremy, Joli Ann, Diana, Marcus and his wife, Marsha, Angie and Jill; great grandchildren Matthew, Michael S., Damian, Michael M., Joshua, Trinity, Michael R., and Amiah; over one hundred nieces and nephews; and 17 grand-dogs. Lucy was godmother to numerous good Catholic kids. A viewing will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in La Joya, NM, on Sunday, March 11, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Final visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at La Joya cemetery.
