JONES -- Lillian L. (Lorraine) Jones passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. She was born in San Antonio, TX on December 3, 1916 to James Claude and Lillian Nora Hedges. Lorraine graduated from Edison High School. She attended business college on scholarship. Lorraine and her husband, James lived in San Antonio, TX, Washington, DC, and Los Alamos, NM before moving to Albuquerque in February 1955. Lorraine was an avid reader, and loved crossword puzzles, she loved to crochet and painted many wonderful water colors and also loved cats. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Women Society for many years. Lorraine was married to James L. Jones on July 10, 1940. James preceded her in death in 1973, along with a daughter, Lillian Aileen in 1955. She is also survived by one daughter Janet Fincher; grandsons, Scott Fincher and wife, Christie, James Lucher; granddaughter, Sarah Rhoades and husband, Mike; and two great-grandsons, Jordan and Jayce Rhoades, all of Albuquerque; one sister, Madeline Mitchell of San Antonio. No Services will be held, but a visitation for family and friends will take place at Fitzgerald and Son on 3113 Carlisle NE on Thursday, February 8, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m. to celebrate her life. Final resting place will be in San Antonio, TX at Coker Cemetery on Saturday February 10, 2007. She will be missed by her family.
