BINGHAM -- Rosemary Link Hicks Bingham, age 95 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1943, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2007. She was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Link and Ed Link; first husband, James Ward Hicks; son, Lt. James Grayson Hicks USN; and second husband, William John Bingham. Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Hicks and husband, Larry Sher; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Hicks Church and husband, David E. Church; step-children, William L. Bingham and wife, Hui, Eleanor Bingham Bendall, Mary Bingham Falco and husband, Robert, Robert Bingham and wife, Elise; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernadine Hladick and husband, William, Rita Franke and husband, Alan; brothers, Joseph Link and wife, Catherine, Robert Link; and many nephews and nieces. She was a good friend and an active contributor to her community as a past board member of the Albuquerque Civic Orchestra, a founding member of the Kidney Foundation of New Mexico, past chairman of Common Cause, New Mexico, founding board member of St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, member of the Tuesday Literary Club, and past president of the Friends of Music. BRANNAN -- Richard Brannan passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria; sons, Joe and wife Echo, of Lexington Park, MD, Steven and wife Pat of Eunice, NM, Rick and wife CanDee of Aztec, NM, and Leo and wife Kathy of Albuquerque; daughters, Betty Tierney and husband D.J. of Beeville, TX, Rosemary Stakvel and husband Curley of Cedar Crest, NM, Paula Hayden and husband Jeff of Albuquerque, and Laura Wood and husband Woodie of Beeville, TX. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Nena Brannan (Glen) of Albuquerque and Evelyn Brannan (Joe) of Belen and many nieces and nephews. Richard was born on Halloween Day in 1925. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and a WWII Navy veteran. He received his BS from Oklahoma State, a Masters from NM State in Educational Psychology and a Masters of Science Teaching from NM Tech. He taught in Belen for many years and had a great impact on hundreds of budding scientists. He was president of SW Geological Society and was a NM district director of the Boy Scouts of America. CORDOVA -- Margaret G. Cordova, age 92, born in Canyon de Jemez, NM, a resident of Albuquerque formerly of Cuba, NM, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Valle Norte Caring Center, while surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 4, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reyes and Anita Garcia; two brothers; four sisters; her husband, Danoe Cordova; and a grandson, Randy Luna. Margaret is survived by four daughters, Theresa Luna and husband, Al of San Dimas, CA, and her family, Bernice Jaramillo and husband, John, Priscilla Cordova, and Annie Martinez and husband, Ted; one son, Larry D. Cordova; six grandchildren, Mark Cordova, Adrian Cordova and wife Dina, Melissa Pohl and husband, David, Dion Jaramillo and wife, Eva, Marissa Flores and husband, Paul, Teddy Martinez and Julie Romero; seven great-grandchildren, Tanisha Martinez, Joshua Cordova, Olivia Cordova, Isiah Pohl, Maya Pohl, Jacob Jaramillo, and Spencer Jaramillo; two sisters, Benita Sandoval and Rebecca Padilla and husband, Leandro, both of Cuba, NM. DENNEY -- Carl A. Denney, 85, died unexpectedly February 2, 2007. His family was by his side as he left this world for eternal life with his heavenly Father. He was born December 13, 1921, in Wareagle, AR, and was preceded in death by his sons, Craig Denney and Kevin Denney; his parents, James D. and Velma Denney; as well as his brother, Charles Denney; and brother-in-law, James Tufts. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lenna Maye Denney. He leaves one son, Douglas Denney and his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Claudia Powell and her husband, Jay, of Tucson, AZ; and three great-grandchildren. Also one sister, Virginia Tufts of St. Louis, MO; and sister-in-law, Carol Denney, of Amarillo, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Carl served in the Signal Corps in Europe during World War II. He was working for Western Electric Co. in Wichita, KS, when he married his high school sweetheart in 1946. In 1953 he received his electrical engineering degree from the University of Arkansas and was employed by Sandia National Lab in Albuquerque, NM, until his retirement in 1987. He was a fine photographer and enjoyed making furniture as a hobby and his family are proud owners of his talented craftsmanship. He especially looked forward to weekly Friday morning breakfasts with a great group of fellow Sandia Lab retirees. He was loved beyond measure and was a devoted, loyal, trusted friend and companion to his wife and family and those who knew him well. Carl will always live on in our thoughts, hearts, and memories. He was a member of Central Methodist Church. God bless his sweet soul as he receives his heavenly reward. He will be sorely missed! DRIGGERS -- Adrian Stephen Driggers, 30 , passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007. He was loved by many, especially his four children, John Paul, Angelique, Andrew, and Julian. Adrian was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia; and brother, Eddie. His wife Lynette, father Alan Stephen, sister Amber Jean, and brother Anthony Scott, survive him. Also grieving his death are the Driggers, Sanchez, Gonzales, Chavez and Lajeuenesse families. Numerous friends will miss him dearly. A Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at the Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church located at 8321 Camino San Matin St. SW (in Westgate). Following the Mass, visitation and reception will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, located at 2121 Edith. ELDRIDGE -- Louise Barber Eldridge, 84, a resident of Roswell, NM for over 20 years, died Sunday, February 4, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Bill Eldridge of Roswell; daughters, Glenda Trehern and husband, Jim and Jackie Barber, all of Canyon, NM; step-children, Billieree Lee and husband, Eddy of Springerville, AZ, Bert Eldridge and wife, Ruth of Roswell, and Debbie Terrill and husband, Mike of Alamosa, CO; eight grandchildren, Becki, Glenn, Devlyn, Glenn, Trey, Justin, Dee, and Tawny; 11 step-grandchildren, Buddy, Danny, Randy, Kim, Dale, Carrie Jo, Terrie, Brian, Trisha, Travis, and Willie; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Rackley and wife, Maime of El Paso, TX, JL Rackley; sister, Moyce Smith and husband, Bill, all of Hugo, OK. FITT -- Gregory Joseph Florez Fitt, age 32, of Albuquerque, passed away February 2, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Gregory was born on July 11, 1974, the loving son of Katrina Florez Fitt and Jeffrey Dean Fitt, of Los Lunas, NM. He married Cynthia Marie French and had two children. He earned his Associate's Degree in Business and was currently employed as a Recruiter for the U.S. Navy, having enlisted in 1993. He served in Iraqi Freedom, Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Enduring Freedom. During his service, Gregory earned a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and six Navy Marine Corps Achievement medals, as well as many others. Gregory enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family, and he will be remembered as a loving son, father, and brother. He is survived by his Los Lunas family: parents, Katrina and Jeffrey Fitt; mother of his children, Cynthia Marie French; loving children, Kevin Michael and Alicia Mercedes Fitt; brother, Matthew Florez Fitt; and grandparents, Jose and Florence Florez of Blanco, NM. GONZALES -- Ryan Joseph Gonzales, 19, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on February 4, 2007. Ryan is the beloved son to Donna Gonzales and Carlos Sandoval. JONES -- Lillian L. (Lorraine) Jones passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. She was born in San Antonio, TX on December 3, 1916 to James Claude and Lillian Nora Hedges. Lorraine graduated from Edison High School. She attended business college on scholarship. Lorraine and her husband, James lived in San Antonio, TX, Washington, DC, and Los Alamos, NM before moving to Albuquerque in February 1955. Lorraine was an avid reader, and loved crossword puzzles, she loved to crochet and painted many wonderful water colors and also loved cats. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Women Society for many years. Lorraine was married to James L. Jones on July 10, 1940. James preceded her in death in 1973, along with a daughter, Lillian Aileen in 1955. She is also survived by one daughter Janet Fincher; grandsons, Scott Fincher and wife, Christie, James Lucher; granddaughter, Sarah Rhoades and husband, Mike; and two great-grandsons, Jordan and Jayce Rhoades, all of Albuquerque; one sister, Madeline Mitchell of San Antonio. No Services will be held, but a visitation for family and friends will take place at Fitzgerald and Son on 3113 Carlisle NE on Thursday, February 8, 2007 from 2 to 5 p.m. to celebrate her life. Final resting place will be in San Antonio, TX at Coker Cemetery on Saturday February 10, 2007. She will be missed by her family.

KAUFMAN -- Dara Kindler Kaufman, 48, a resident of Albuquerque since 1992, died Saturday, February 3, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Kaufman of Albuquerque; children, Laura, Stephanie and Jacob, all of Albuquerque; parents, Dr. Jack Kinder and Carol Kindler; and siblings, Jeffrey Kindler and Beth Lloyd-Thomas. Dara was a Registered Nurse at the Children's Psychiatric Hospital, Partial Program. She was a longtime member of Congregation Albert, having served on the Board of Directors. LESTER -- Evelyn Gertrude Lester, born November 25, 1916 to Dawson and Gertrude Liggett in S. Indiana, passed away February 3, 2007. Graduated high school in Spiceland, IN. Earned a teacher's certificate from Ball State, Muncie, IN. Taught school in Greensboro for 2 years. Married George Lester in 1939, moved to Albuquerque in 1947. Received a BA in education with Phi Kappa Phi in 1956 and taught at Whittier and Inez schools. Retired from APS in 1978. She was a member of Retired Teachers Assoc. of NM and Central United Methodist Church. Evelyn played violin and piano, loved to read and write poetry. She enjoyed weekly bridge games with friends and family get-togethers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Dawson Liggett; brother, Virgil Liggett; George Lester, ex-husband; son, Stanley Kurt Lester. MCDANIEL -- Leona A. McDaniel died on Saturday, February 3, 2007. She was born on January 24, 1912, to parents, William Marks and Ida Casebolt, in St. Joseph's, MO. Leona moved to Albuquerque in 1947, where she was a kindergarten teacher, and the Executive Director of Christine Kent Day Nursery, until she retired in 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy McDaniel. Leona is survived by her son, Jeffery McDaniel and wife, Karen of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Thomas McDaniel and wife, Tammy of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Bradley McDaniel of Phoenix, AZ; and her great-grandchildren, Sara McDaniel, Michael McDaniel, and Samuel McDaniel. A private Service was held for members of her immediate family. REIS -- George E. Reis, 86, loving husband, devoted parishioner, admired colleague, adored brother-in-law, fun-loving soul, and a wonderful friend to many, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2007. He was born February 29, 1920, in Pontiac, IL. After high school graduation, George enlisted in the Navy where he proudly served two tours of duty both pre and during World War II. Upon discharge from the Navy, George attended MIT where he earned a degree in Physics. He moved to Albuquerque in 1951 where he worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 34 years as a Member of Technical Staff. He retired from Sandia Labs in 1985 and continued enjoying a life of travel, active involvement at church, time spent providing math and physics tutoring to students of all ages, and maintaining an interest in a diverse array of hobbies. Many people were fortunate to have known George and to have been touched by his kind heart, generosity, amazing intellect, mischievous ways, and his wonderful personality. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Tess; his brother, John; and sister, Lillian; his wife's siblings; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Services will be held at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be Friday, February 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. SEELIGER -- Horst Heinz Seeliger, a World War II veteran, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the age of 86. Horst was born in Breslau, Germany on June 3, 1920. After WWII he moved from Germany to the United States. He and his wife, Frieda, lived in New York City for thirty-eight years before moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1990. A remarkable and charming man Horst served as a soldier for 10 years and spent 7 of those years in a concentration camp in Siberia, Russia. He was a man with determination and fortitude that defined his character. He loved music and his appreciation and knowledge for opera and classical music was remarkable. Well traveled Horst had an unusual command of the world's geography and was fluent in several languages. He will be dearly missed by all of us who were privileged to know him and will miss his conversations about his life and the world. But he will be most missed by his family who loved him so much and were able to share in his spirited life. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frieda. He is survived by his two sons, Michael H. Seeliger and Stephen H. Seeliger, their wives, Elizabeth Ann and Catherine Seeliger; and five grandchildren, Shawn, Henry, Jack, Annabelle, and Juliette. SISNEROS -- Pablo R. Sisneros, age 79, beloved step-father, and brother, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 3, 2007. Pablo was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM, and a member of the Catholic Church. Pablo served his country proudly in the United States Navy, and Army, during World War II, and the Korean Conflict; he was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4243 of Bernalillo, NM.
