ORTIZ -- Frank O. Ortiz, age 81, native of Albuquerque, died peacefully with his family by his side, on Thursday, January 18, 2007. Frank was a WWII and Korean War veteran and served in United States Marine Corps. After his return from Korea, he became a welder by trade. He married and had five children. He was a loving father and is loved very much. He is survived by his four remaining children, Frances Perea of Albuquerque, Kathy Undiks of Denver, Clarissa Ortiz of Albuquerque and Frank Ortiz, Jr. of Albuquerque. His eldest son, Edward Ortiz, preceded him in death in 1992. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Dominique, Alexandria, Damien, Jakob, Aaron, Samantha, Nicole, Shelby, Edward, Jeremiah and Kassandra. He was loved and supported by his sons-in-Iaw, Paul Perea, Francisco Undiks, Russell Owens, extended family, many friends, and ex-wife, Gloria. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish. On Wednesday January 24, 2007 final viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Parish. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, following the mass. Reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. January 24, 2007 at the Desert Club, located at 4305 Mesa Grande Place SE.
